Chicago Auto Show Starts Tomorrow

chicago1

Founded in 1901, Chicago’s auto show is North America’s largest show and this year marks the 110th edition.

The L.A. show has all the glitz and glamour, Detroit’s show always focuses on the auto industry as a whole, the Chicago show is all about the consumer though and that’s what makes this show so special. There are dozens of great exhibits, world premiers, future technology displays, concept cars, exotics, etc.

As always, this year’s show is hosted at McCormick Place on Lake Shore Drive. This venue features about 2.7 million square feet of exhibit space, so bring your sneakers!

Friday Feb 9th is the first day open to the public and it’s their “First Look for Charity” Event, so there’s not a huge crowd and no waiting in lines to see the stuff that you want to. The charity tickets are $275 a piece, but worth every penny. I grew up in Chicago and went to this show many times. I was fortunate enough to go on press night most years and I can tell you that you’ll appreciate the smaller crowds.

The general public show runs Feb 10th to the 18th and an adult ticket is $13.
