GM recently recalled over 1 million vehicles for faulty ignition switches that could turn off the vehicle and possibly the airbag functions while the vehicle is moving.
5 deaths have supposedly been linked to this issue over the past few years.
The recall is for 2005-2007 Chevrolet Cobalts, 2007 Pontiac G5, 2003-2007 Saturn Ion, 2006-2007 Chevrolet HHR, 2006-2007 Pontiac Solstice and 2007 Saturn Sky. The other model is the 2005-06 Pontiac Pursuit that was sold only in Canada.
I’m not sure which Opel models have been added, but we will add to the post when we get more info on that.
If you have one of these vehicles, check with your local GM dealer asap and get this recall done. It’s a serious concern.
